Mweb are running a promtion for R350.00 for 3G/HSDPA plus acess to all their services.

Will one be able to migrate from Vodacom to 3G? That is if Mweb is regarded as a service provider?

Bugzee, got your pm but will rather answer here.

You cannot migrate between Networks (Vodacom, Cell C, MTN), only between packages offered by the specific network.

With number portability coming, you'll be able to move from one network to another and still keep the same number (not such a big requirement for data) but will still have to honour the original contract.

Hi Bugzee

The R 350-00 offer is not an HSDPA service (to the best of my knowledge). Their prices should be exactly the same as Vodacom's (they are resellers), with the only difference that you will have access to MWeb services...

Forgot to mention the R350.00 for Mweb is a HSDPA service and as you mentioned you also get access to their services.

AFAIK, Yes, R350 is HSDPA, R280 is 3G

And as for migrating, I do not see why not, in effect it is still a Vodacom product, it just has MWEB's name on.
