Mxit Samsung G800 Issue

Ok Guys!

I have a problem, i bought the Samsung G800 about two weeks ago. Now the issue is whenever i go onto Mxit, my signal disappears, and get logged off.

Am i suppose to change the phone detected on the wap site, or is this issue phone related?

Some help will be much appreciated

I had a samsung D900i before this and mxit always worked perfectly fine on it. Is there any one else who has G800 Samsung problems whatsoever? In connection with mxit that is...

I was going to get the G800 but then was told that there's serious software issues with the phone, so i opted for the k850i, never been happier, but I think you just gonna have to wait for a software update

I just did some research and read that mxit for the Samsung G800 should be downloaded as for the samsung D600. I.e you should download the D600 version onto your G800.

Also in another thread i was told to set my phone's network to gsm when mxiting, to make it function like a 'normal' phone, without 3G.

Problem solverd, i just changed my network mode to GSM. Works fine now.

Funny that you had this problem. I got the G800 and mxit works perfectly fine on mine. No settings changed what so ever. weird.

What version of mxit did you download? Did you download the version for the samsung d600 on the G800?

The connection stability problems which you are experiencing may be caused by a problem which many other users of 3G phones experience - an unstable data connection due to the occasional change between a 3G and a 2G data connection.

You should be able to solve this problem by forcing your phone to always make 2G data connections (GSM).

Yeah, for sure, try the new mxit 5.6.1 with lots of bug fixes and speed improvements!

I have a problem. I have had my Samsung G800 since April and never had any problems logging onto mxit until last Friday (29-Aug). Now I can't connect at all. I've tried deleting mxit and turning off my phone and installing it again but still can't connect. Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

If it doesnt connect at all then there might just be a problem with internet settings FOR JAVA...check somewhere in your java menus to see if theres anything there
