My 4mb ADSL keeps dropping :(

Ever since i changed my 512K to 4mb it just keeps dropping :( , Had 3x telkom tech's out here to try fix the problem on the 3rd tech it was fixed but for 1 week then it started dropping again running out of options here , my router is a Billion 800VGT and my stats are :

SNR Margin up : 9.0 dm SNR Margin down : 7db
Line Atten Up : 51.0dB Line Atten Down : 26.0 dB

I live in Benoni , Northmead and i was told i can get full 4mb ADSL.

I alrdy tried the whole downgrading thing and its still the same mostly only drops at night , oh well just have to wait for fibre optic i guess :(

Rofl, dude, we've got the fibre. And now waiting for Tel**** to put down a UMC and do a cut over. Its pushing a year now since they completed putting in the Fibre. So dont be surprised if its pleasantly forgotten as in our case.
 
Your upstream looks wrong.
This is my line and is 100% stable.
Line Attenuation
DS 12.0 db
US 8.0 db

Noise Margin
DS 30.3 db
US 27.0 db
 
I had the same problem with my line and it ended up being the Billion Router got it changed and have no problems anymore but thats my line
 
Welcome to SA, I was told I can have full 4MB, after a couple weeks of my line dropping repeatedly I called and in the agent told me all they can do is drop my line speed to 3MB, 2MB, and eventually 1MB. I rather told them to leave it. Seems to be fine now though ;/
