My 6 Weeks from Hell

Condolences bud stay strong ,i hope every thing gets better from here on.
2013 is not my best year either and wont be sorry to see the end of this year.
 
So sorry for your loss and general bad period.
I hope 2014 will treat you better.
 
sorry to hear man. yeah, i thought 2013 would be a better year for me after having triple bypass in dec 2012, and then we lost our 3 month old son may of this year. so yeah, let's hope 2014 is better for both of us and just everyone else in general

I shall keep you in my thoughts, I can never begin to understand what it may feel like to lose a loved one... And having to raise a child on yout own. Be strong for your kid :)

Write a letter to the traffic department explaining your situation, you might find it ends up with someone kind.
 
Wow, thanks for sharing your pains and troubles with us! That is very brave and heartfelt.
I hope you can take the license disk to the cops and show them and get the fine reduced or canceled. :(
And I wish we were closer to be able to help.
And now I am hoping that your Christmas is a time to love those closest to you and revel in that love despite your keen and hurting loss.
All I can say is, make lots of new memories and cherish the old ones!
Will be thinking of you and others who have also lost loved ones this Christmas.
 
Sir, hearing how your year was makes me realise I have fsckall to complain about.

Any reason why she wasnt put on dialysis?

Also, was she on the liver transplant list?
 
So sorry to hear man :( I can't imagine how difficult it is for you at the moment.

Also to crackersa. With our little one now a month and a half I can't even begin to imagine losing him. Must have been devastating. My deepest condolences to you both.

We were expecting a full recovery on the program. The liver is an amazing organ. Everything happened so quickly, completely unexpected. Unfortunately she had a real phobia of hospitals too. So that didn't help...
 
I can not even imagine what you are going through.

I can't stress though how important it is to have your affairs in order. You never know what might happen to you or a loved one. I have already drafted a new will, just waiting for it to be finalized for signing. I have now listed every policy I have including the policy numbers, contact persons etc and attached it to my will. At least I know if anything happens to me that my family will know exactly who to contact.

I must add, I have been an FNB client for 20+yrs, and my will is maintained at the FNB Trust Services division. I pay a yearly fee which covers the drawing up of the will, maintaining it etc. They charge a % Fee of the estate value to process the whole lot when needed. They have been very helpful and quick through the process. now I wait for the courts to sign off ... roughly 9 months to a year on average ...

I've heard mentioned before that using the bank for these matters is not advisable. I don't recall the reasons so hopefully others can comment.
