My ADSL speed upgrade late?

Hi There,

My line is still running at 1Mb/s and has not been shifted to 2Mb/s. I am a bit surprised since a friend of mine who stays in same complex as me in East London HAS been upgraded to 2Mb/s. Yet I have not.

But now I read the below link that the upgrades are planned to be finished on the 28 February.

A problem or should I continue to be patient?

Edit: If there is anything I was supposed to do from my side please let me know. For example my router is always on. Is this ok?

I contacted my ISP to get me upgraded, they didn't do it on their own even though telkom already upgraded my line speed

Well my line has not yet been upgraded. In my router it still shows downspeed of 1mb/s.

Either phone Telkom directly, send a private message to TelkomZA or tweet them at @TelkomZA and request that your line-speed be upgraded to the new speed tiers.

Just for the interest sake, what exchange are you hooked up to ?

I am actually not sure to be honest.

Number starts with 726..

I tried calling Telkom now was on hold so long that the call went dead.

I have just sent a message to the Telkom Representative on the forum.
