My dream car is a bakkie and homebrew so I shall have to describe it.

Diesel, about 3L. The vehicle appearance is a 1930-ish type bakkie, as often shown in American depression type movies (not American though, they make utter crap). A fibre-glass body? To flesh-out the look, it looks terminally rusty (although it isn’t) and usually belongs to a hillbilly family. The drivers of these vehicles usually have bare feet, bib overalls (with one bib strap broken and the legs turned-up) and rifle racks in the back window. They wear battered straw hats and are often depicted sucking on a blade of grass. Frequently, there is a hound dawg named “Blue” in the load bin of the vehicle. Big interior. Bench seats. All mod cons. Looks like s**t but has good tyres, brakes, etc. and can scat.

Sorry, what?!

Nah, I get what the OP is saying. Stop next to some guy revving his S2000, looking down on your pickup. When the light changes you leave him eating dust. Could be fun :D

His girlfriend's name might be anything of Peggy-Sue, Mary-Lou, Sarah-Jane, Betty-blu ;), Billie-Jean ...

I found the very car :D

Sounds like Palimino is talking rat rod type stuff

A bit ‘ratty’ but warm. Too little ground clearance and, without the hood, it has a ‘hot-rod’ feel. My dream vehicle would look standard (and be street legal). I don’t like the colour either but the grill rocks.
