Hello ,

I just finished my first website , well kinda my first as the previous ones I did was for practice. I would appreciate all feedback from you guys. Please try and be gentle as its my first lol. Only kidding , shoot away as the more critism the better I can get from learning.

Thanks

The url is here

The font type is not so easy to read, also the logo at the top is a bit boring.

The font is really a poor choice. It's too small, blends in the background and doesn't scan well. That's all the advice I have.

Thanks , I plan to change the font but I was not sure what to use as many are not supported by browsers. Also are you referring to the font on the menu as well ?

Thanks , the client wanted something simple and rejected all the other designs , to be honest I kinda liked it.

Maybe making it a bit thicker will help, also the positioning seems a bit off.

Yes change the menu font too, maybe Verdana?

I am well read and qualified as a :

Advanced Diploma in Business Management NQF 7 (South African Institute Of Management)

Your qualified as an Advanced Diploma?

Rather say you hold the following qualifications or something along those lines.

Free advertising. Clever.

LOL , no man. MYADSL is the best place for honest feedback. I had many fights with people re different opinions. Guys are not scared to have their say , beside my site is not done yet and I am probably doing more harm by sharing the info

That pic on the top make him look a bit dodgy, not professional enough for a motivational speaker. Stick a pic of him with a blazer/ jacket or on a podium speaking

Add some spacing/padding between the boxes.
In safari the boxes on the right show at the bottom.

In terms of web supported fonts there are tools to help you integrate nonstandard fonts into a CSS file correctly. Google's web font project provides a simple hook in and it's all free for instance. Check out Lato for a really attractive web font. However if you really need to cater for all browser possibilities, rather go with Verdana I think.

I agree. Somehow the dude looks like he's on safari.
