My HP Laptop is still on Windows XP and being used primarily for some financial matters, e-mails, web surfing and 2 or 3 minor window based applications, I am concerned about security and is considering to get a Windows 8 Tablet. PCMag in its March review ( http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2417564,00.asp ) rated the Asus Transformer Book T100TA (64GB) tops for Windows Tablets. Any serious advice and suggestions are welcome and will be appreciated. Please bear in mind that I am not playing games and my eyesight may not be so good so I am not to concerned about screen resolution, etc but I do get pretty impatient and restless when I have to wait for things to happen.

Why not get a new laptop per installed with Windows 7? The jump from XP to 8 is a little steep. You should be able to even upgrade to windows 7 depending on your specifications.

I do not agree with the Windows 7 advice. Get Windows 8 and watch one or two tutorial videos on Youtube. Very nice and very easy to work in. The Windows key is very important in 8.

I have the Asus T100. Flipping awesome little tablet hybrid and good value for money.
For web surfing, emails, office, etc it is very zippy. Even handles casual gaming perfectly fine.

You won't regret getting a nice tablet. I was completely against the idea, but decided to get the Note 10.1 2014 Edition purely for the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Companion app (so I can control my trade routes while not at a my computer). Since getting it, I've stopped using my computer for 4+ hours per night and there are times where two or three days will pass without me turning on the monitor. As with a cellphone, I don't know how I lived without one until now. It's so much nicer being able to do whatever I want WHEREVER I want, and that without the bulk of a laptop or ultrabook and a damn good battery life as well.
