my friend just got conned... :(

She bought a 1. Tata, 2. Got no papers, 3. Got no signed agreement, 4. Received no log book, 5. "spent" big money, on a Tata...

Let's all hope she makes up for this with her looks...

Though I would like to rock up to this okes house with a couple of mates and some cricket bats!

And possibly not live to tell the tale.

Local guy here went missing last Wednesday (there were posters on facebook and local papers). Apparently he went to go get his money back from someone that sold him a stolen car. I heard yesterday that they found him dead in Phoenix.

Was the car worth R400 000 and he was getting it for less or was he buying it for R400 000? I'm guessing the former since he couldn't even afford the extra R25 000 they wanted for the deposit.

Thats the reality of these things. We have this idea that we can go all superhero and sort this out but in the real world people like that don't mess around. They are also fully prepared for the fact that you might come and find them.

Talk about stereotyping

Don't you mean Steroidtyping :D

sigh... :(

I have a friend who I dont think earns a hell of a lot of money. anyway, she has obviously been saving to get some money together and she was quite proud to announce the other day that she was the proud owner of a little 2nd hand tata.

she has been in the process of trying to get the change of ownership papers from the guy who sold it to her. Turns out, this guy sold the car to her under false pretenses. The owner of the car is in hospital, and he was supposed to take it in for repairs. So what does he do? He sells it :wtf:

She went back to him and told him to give her money back and he said he doesnt have it anymore that he spent it.

So now its over to the legal procedure... Though I would like to rock up to this okes house with a couple of mates and some cricket bats!

I feel so bad for this girl

I recognise this con because my aunt married a fraduster a few years ago who used to do the same thing. Send me his details please. I'd love to have this prick finally locked up in a cell with a 12-inch cellmate...
