My Huawei E1752 cannot connect to the net

Hi everyone

I'm a virgin on this forum and need help and guidance. I bought a cellC Huawei E1752 modem and have not been able to use it since. I was guided to the Cell c website to upgrade the software on it and also went to the extent of downloading mobile Partner which is now loaded on my laptop. Both dashboards indicate that I am connected but with no internet connection. sometimes it says no network connection. what am I doing wrong?
 
Use one dashboard a time. Unload all other from memory (including systray).
 
Click network and sharing centre icon and dial the appropriate connection name.
