I currently have a Thermaltake Challenger Prime. It was on a massive sale on Rebeltech a while back and has served me well. The thing still works, more or less. It has always had a tendency to randomly disconnect and reconnect from the PC, kind of like it was unplugged and plugged back in, but lately, it is going nuts with it. Does it now around 5 times an hour which is not great when you in a boss fight and suddenly cannot move.
I have been looking around and am seeing a lot of brands I don't know on the market. Can anyone offer advice on a decent budget gaming KB in the R1000 or lower region that is not going to wonk out on me after 6 months? I don't really care if its mech or membrane, I don't play FPS games, mainly Guild Wars 2 and other MMORPG type things. I also do not need macro keys, although they would be welcome if they are there and work. Thermaltake has the kakest software for that and even though I have 6 macro keys with 3 profiles at the moment, I have never used them as the software nullifies all keypresses except macro keys when you use one of them.
As I said, I just don't know the brands anymore. T-dagger, Havit, etc. Are they any good or just plain old crud.
