No, it was Czech and then VW bought it. If I recall correctly the "new" dash in the Citi Golf comes from a Fabia.

These days, with the VW influence, they are a very good brand of car in terms of quality and being a Skoda means they are still affordable. But I guess that is something they can only be in Europe, therefor you do not get Skoda anywhere outside Europe.

Lots of Skoda's in the UK and rest of Europe. They are decent cars... Skoda Yeti is an awesome little budget crossover.

Yep, there are plenty good and affordable VAG products in Europe. I think Clarkson is one of the Yeti's biggest fans. It is a pretty amazing little MPV and the quality seems to be top notch.

But that Europe, not here, and that is one of my reasons for hating VWSA.

there is no 1.4t polo GTi back then ? the new one is.. the old one was a 1.8t
