My life changed today

How does this make a difference? At best it'll keep out a teeny bit more air, but if the ice-cream lid is sealing properly then this ain't gonna do much. Probably better to store your tub at the back of the freezer so it's less prone to temp changes every time you open the freezer.
 
If you set your freezer at the correct temperature it will never be too hard to use on the first place, regardless of how you wrap it, pack it or store it.
 
That's new. I always just run the scoop or spoon under some hot water. Or even just keep a tub of hot water nearby.
 
I eat my ice cream immediately upon return from the shop. Straight from the tub. No need for freezing.
