my line is acting funny

igot 4meg telkom
for a few months it syncs at 4096/512 now its

Downstream / Upstream (Kbps) 1600/448
Downstream / Upstream (Kbps) 1504/480
Downstream / Upstream (Kbps) 1600/512
Downstream / Upstream (Kbps) 1600/480

ive had more freaky disconectionts like 1152/something:wtf:

is it my 8meg upgrade? coz it better be or else i go all madness and walk into telkom with 50 potatos

Turn off your router for 5 minutes then turn it back on again.

It should sync at 4mbits downstream.
If not, check your line/filters.

If you still can't get the line to work, phone telkom on 0800 375 375 and speak to a technician.
You TELL them explicitly that the line was syncing at 4mbits for many months and you had no problems with it AND THEN ask for a reset at the DSLAM Port.
This should allow you to get the full 4mbits.

Also, if you were getting 8mbit upgrades, your line speed would go up, not down.
