im going to run 3dmark tomorrow i have a similar computer, that score looks slow for a q6600 and 8800gts

I'm not looking at ringing the neck of my new shiny PC just to get a few more marks on 3D Marks. I ran the test to ensure my setup was in line with my hardware vs software configuration. Anyway I'm quite certain with a bit more cooling I'll probably go over 10k.

Or you could just use CPU-Z. Well, then try to get it up to 3GHz

I agree. My +- 10k pc gets 9857

Now what a difference with the 163 driver I ran this with proc. @ 3.15, graphics core @ 593 and mem @ 875. Stock cooling.

Did you have to up the voltage to reach 3.15GHz?

yea u can get that puppy up to 3.4 mine is at 3.38

My current CPU (AMD 3800+ Single Core @ 2.4GHz) doesn't like being overclocked... I bumped up the FSB from 200MHz to 208MHz, SuperPI gives "not exact in round" errors... FSB from 200MHz to 220MHz -> BSOD

I left the voltage standard. I can take it further but I'm happy with the performace, don't wanna choke the hell out of it. WKJ: Those AMD 3800,4000+ don't overclock very well, I had one. Maybe with watercooling u can bump it up.
