If you think you are going to get all that stuff for R250 you should go see a shrink as you clearly have lost your grip on reality.

This whole thing has put me right off considering buying from Person - you wouldn't know if your goods had "fallen off the back of a truck".

BEFORE YOU POST PLEASE READ THE FULL THREAD !!!! I do not intend getting any products out of them, im making a point. Showing them their system does not work, and finding out how long it takes them to find the problem with my order... THATS WHY I MADE IT 22mil, surely they should find it quite quickly

actually, this gets interesting.
Seeing as DP has emailed Person back in response to this order, to let him know they are processing it, this means they have accepted his "offer to purchase" from a legal standpoint.

They have put goods for sale, he has offered to purchase them (at a price their system gave) and they have them emailed him confirmation that they are going ahead with the transaction, which means offer accepted.

I'm not backing Person up, but by DP sending an email (automated or not) in response to his offer to purchase it does complicate things terribly. That really shouldnt have happened...it makes Person's case a bit stronger.

If Person's lawyers can get past the conundrum of "how can you possibly expect those goods to have been so cheap" then DP would be obligated to supply, as far as what I have read into previous case histories in situations like these.

Thank you werner, that’s my point. If I wanted to get the products out of them they would have to sell to me at the total price stated on that Quote. Even if it’s not right. It asked me to pay that, so I did. I did not even think about the confirmation of my order, but because they have stated in writing that they confirm my order, I can legally hold them to it.

That's the reason clever companies put E&OE on thier quotes. But werner does have a point... the fact that they have accepted your offer is interesting.

The the rest of the posters on this thread... c'mon guys relax a little, you have to be nuts to think Person would actually go ahead and clain 22mill worth of goods? Also you really thing that DP doesn't have something in their terms and conditions that makes the transaction null and void if technical issues arise?

It's an online shop for #$% sakes, they would make contension for these things. I think it's an interesting study... I would like to see DP's response to this.

I'll keep you guys informed. Their Quotes are not E&OE well at least its not stated. And there is nothing in the terms and condtion pages about Technical Errors resulting in a quote becoming null and void. I checked this all before i posted. Well I suspect if they are any good and pick up this problem, i'll get a call tomorrow morning. But I dont know why I did not get one on Firday when order was placed.

Thats a stupid Question im only human, yeah i'll take it. I'll fell bad about it but i think some of the toys will let me get over that feeling.

^^ dont have Gf anymore :mad: and Ferrari's not mine its dads. I do have a BMW though. Oh and dont have 22mil to blow :( might soon... only jokeing :)

No i never bought cam, thank God. She moved to the UK to try find work over there.
