The specs is like this.

OCZ DDR3 4GB 2000Mhz - 2 x 2 GB Kit
Radeon 4870x2
Asus P7P55 LX P55 LGA1156 MotherBoard.
i5 750 CPU

I also use windows 7. its a stock standard pc and the scores are around 19k.

any one have almost same rig as mine?

Mine is almost the same, except for the display card and I am running my CPU at 3.6Ghz, which I kinda think isn't helping you at all, especially since I have never ran 3DMark06 on this setup. :D

Last time i ran 3D mark 06 was on my old system, E6600 @ 3ghz and a 8800GTS was around 10k :P should do a new run sometime hehe

Checked my saved reports last night when I was choosing which OC to run. Specs of my pc are:

Mobo = Gigabyte P35 DS3L (rev1.0) chipset
CPU = Q6600 (2.4ghz @ Stock)
Ram = Apogee GT 2 X 2gig 1066mhz
GPU = XFX GTX280 XXX (OC'ed Edtion)
PSU = Coolermaster 600w Pro M series
HDD's = All SATA 7200 Drives (3 of them - 1TB + 750gb + 500gb)
OS was Vista 32bit (run Win7 64 now, have not run tests again on it)
3dMark 06 @ 2.4ghz = 12K
3dMark 06 @ 3.0ghz = 15K
3dMark 06 @ 3.4ghz = 17K

Q6600 runs very hot, had to lap the chip and put on a Coolermaster V8. @3.0ghz OC my temps range from 25C up to 55C - depending on the ambient room temps (Have no aircon in PC room)

I have run a a benchmark last night and this is the result. I run the radeon 4870x2 with 10.5 catalyst driver with hot fix. its 19077 3DMarks and in 3DMark vantage its 14763 3DMark points

That 4870x2 while a very good card is old now and will get whipped by most DX11 cards in gaming. Honestly, I would look at getting rid of it and buying a 5850 or GTX470

Must say the 470's have really dropped in price quite considerably. They can be had for just over R3k now.

wow still no need to upgrade his GPU. I suggest you wait a bit more as I'm still with my slow poke GTX280 and still runs fine. I'm going to wait a little more before upgrading to a new card and your card is beating mine by a mile.

Maybe if your card is not running to hot you can maybe try to overclock it and get some extra performance out of it, that's what I did with mine. I overclocked the mother beeping s*** out of it and running not to hot. and now I don't have to upgrade that soon.

Agreed +1 nelis

Also have a GTX280 and it runs everything just fine.

I was thinking hard about upgrading my GPU a few months back but thought wow spend R6K just to see like a few fps boost in games I though maybe one day if the games will start lagging badly like even on low graphics it's slow. and I know the latest gpu can run the game fine then I'll upgrade my gpu or maybe the whole pc

Ja, its insane.... the only game that made my GPU suffer was crysis, and that was not so bad (running 4 X AA @ 1920 X 1080). I'll keep my 280 for a while still. Even my Q6600 is getting way old, but I cant see the point in upgrading it either!
