What is you system specs ?
Max possible draw from cpu & gpu is 204W, add to that 8W for two hard drives and a bit for the MB. Real world testing with a CPU using more power than mine shows ~200W under load during gaming.

An update, so by 10:00 this morning all the formalities have been taken care of, they arranged for a courier to collect and sent me the waybill to hand to Dawn Wing when they arrive.
Never had to send anything back to Wootware before and so far the entire process has been a pleasure, really great service.
Ok so Wootware received my PSU and they confirmed it's dead.
Now the fun and games start, they cannot replace it (3yrs warranty left out of 5) and are offering me a credit for the purchase price (which buys you nothing decent 2yrs down the line) or offering me a lesser Corsair VS450 VS Series 450W Desktop Power Supply in exchange.
I find this unacceptable and told them as much so I'll await their response.
I've had many of those blow on me.... both generics and fancy ones.
It's the Eskom oscillating power levels.
The last one nearly caught fire!![]()
About two years ago I decided to start buying better PSU's, so bought a Corsair and an Antec, about 750w.
Both of them popped within 6 months, so am back to cheap PSU's.
I can't for the life of me remember what that PSU cost, the SF-450P14XE you had, was it something along the lines of R800?
Antec 750W here, been 2 years now not a single problem, even with our 1 phase outages here on the plot from time to time.
Yea not cool. That being said, who is responsible for honouring the agreement. Should the supplier give you a new replacement (similar) or does wootware need to do the replacement and claim it back from their supplier? Always wondered.
It's irrelevant, the contract is with Wootware. On their site in bold letters the warranty is/was stated as 5yrs. What happens between between Wootware and their suppliers is none of my concern as the sales contract is between Wootware & myself. There's no ifs or buts about it.
We've had similar discussions about this here in the past.
I got another reply from Wootware and they are offering me a market adjusted credit of R694, that's it.
This is not the type of service I expected from Wootware and to be honest I'm really disappointed.
I feel really bad about all those threads in the hardware forum & "The PC Build Thread" where I did countless builds with links to Wootware for components singing their praises. I'm really sorry should you experience return issues.
As they say in Afrikaans, C'est La Vie...
I just had a look at my PSU, also bought it 2 years ago. And it still sells for more or less the same price. So if the supplier can't get the same model, I think it's not bad they offer you a slightly better credit than what you paid for. If it was RAM or a Monitor.. well that went skyrocketing in the past few years.
