my push mail isnt working :(

I checked the settings and all seems okay. push is set to on, so the "checking" frequency shouldnt matter, right? (its on manual at the moment)

internet is working, mms is working, everything is working except my push mail (gmail)

i have to click on mail and then it manually checks and only then everything comes up

help please

as I said on the iPhone forums... if the gmail options is there to be used, then why doesnt it work?

i dont see the need to setup a gmail account under the exchange option when there is specifically a gmail one there
