First off let me give you a little background, I've been using routesentry for over a year now with xp, vista 32/64 and currently windows 7 x64. I've messed around quite allot so i consider myself quite good with the program.

I need to state that I am very sure it has nothing to do with the operating system(W7 x64) as i had this problem with vista 64 and vista 32.

So briefly, I have a Mega 105 WR in half bridge mode with a local openweb IS 30GB and a 3GB int telkom account which I split my traffic across, however when everything is connected and it attempts to apply the routes it fails. To fix this i have to do this.

Steps I do to set up routesentry

My Initial LAN settings(DHCP)

After both connections are running it automatically sets up the routes

As you can see 'blank' gateway, it also removes automatic metric for gateways

I force my gateway and recheck automatic metric

I re 'set up routing' and everything is fine

Now i really don't want to continue to have to do this every time i restart my pc. Help would be much appreciated.

I've always found route sentry a bit annoying. I use this method.

Work in Vista too. Just run the .BAT file as administrator. It take a while to set up all the routes, but you only need to run the enable route .BAT file once. Routes are set to be persistent, so even after a restart or crash the routes are still in place.

When you need international access, just dial a PPPOE connection to your international account and you'll have international access and local will still be routed via the router's account.

What is also nice is that when you are not connected to your international account, then Windows will attempt to route all traffic, international included, via your router. So if you get some international bandwidth with your local account, you don't have to do anything other than NOT dialling your alternative international account.

Works like a charm for me. I see no reason why it should not work on Windows 7.

Are you using Vista or XP?

From what I've heard the Vista version of route sentry you can use your router as either the local or international connection and then let Vista make a dial up connection to the second account. Also in Vista you don't need raspppoe, you just create a dialup account via the Network and Sharing centre.

If you're using XP, then I have no idea why raspppoe doesn't work for you. I haven't worked with XP for ages. I seem to recall that I also had trouble setting up raspppoe, but can't remember what the problem was. I didn't really understand the setup process, can't remember, but I know once I got it working all was fine.

Oh, should have known, "Super Grand Master" :o You are way ahead of me so sorry, can't help.

the postcount does not necessarily denote the intelligence of the user...

You made a good point its just i can't use it. I need to be able to create 2 dial up accounts :)
