Had that before and just bought a new one

Happened to me after the power cable of the seconday decoder was accidentaly unplugged. Was annoying as hell. Some of the settings was lost and you will have to fix this in the menu of both decoders I think. If I remember correctly you have to phone DSTV and let them reset your signal or something. Hope it works.

The decoder is more than likely damaged and may need replacing. If it is under insurance just take it into DSTV and they will test it and replace it for you.

If you do take it maybe just take in your secondary decoder as well so that they can pair the two of them back up again for you while you are there.
