I pay R45 a month charges with FNB which isn't that bad.. anyone know of a cheaper one?

ABSA = Yearly subscr. fee of R800incl if trade 4 or less times/year - free if 5 or more trades/Year

trading fee is 0.4% of trade value

I use Imara - I found they are super efficient and the costs are good

A minimum non-refundable fee of R250 per annum, excluding VAT, will be charged to your account quarterly in arrears. It represents the total cost of opening the account, holding assets in safe custody, collection of dividends, managing rights attached to your scrip holdings, the administration of share splits, consolidations and other corporate actions.

Thanks for this. I see their cost per transaction is more but the annual fee is a lot less. Definitely worth a look!!
