My son and Autism

I don't think the show was ever done in an Episodic manner tbh.

But hunt around on Amazon and see what you can come up with.

Sorry to dig up an old topic, but how is your son coming along?
How was he when you first noticed a change?

My son is now 13 and we hope he would pass grade 1 this year.
We were told he would never be able to attend a mainstream school, so he is still in a special school, called SNAP academy in Durbanville.
It is a daily struggle but we love him to bits :)

Just saw this, Don't have much to add except well wishes for you and your family.

Bump:

My chick is starting at a new school as a teacher that is opening in january amazingk http://www.amazingk.co.za/ check them out maybe their prices are good also

Looks like a nice school, pity it's in JHB.

UPDATE:

My son is doing really well in his school. Almost been there a year and a half. Almost starting to speak using short sentences, and very little "melt downs"

amazing how things change over time. the future is looking very bright again.

excellent news tcofran.

thanks MM, it does make the little battles / challenges easier if you see how hard they try.
hat's of to the school as well, they really go the extra mile

"More and more people are blaming the MMR vaccine as being able to contribute to the disorder."

My oldest is also in the same boat. Was also diagnosed some months after the vaccine. He was great untill then.
He is currently in a school for Autism in Durbanville where there is more than 90% boys.

Edit: The post I was directly replying to is a bit of an old one, and the thread has not derailed own that way, so I don't want to contribute to the derailment.

Well wishes to OP, seems the school is working wonders for you.
