My sound is not working!?

For my "Sound, video and game controllers"there is no sysmbols
but for my "other devices" -> "Multimedia Audio Controller" there is a yellow triangle!

go to control panel, add hardware devices, and then search and install hardware automatically (recommended).

Hey man... sorry about not replying! Here is what happened: In the middle of doing what the above suggested I had a PC nightmare!: 3 Trojan Horses, 2 Bug/Worms, BIOS Virus, DVD Drive Failure, Had to reformat 3 times and now 5 1/2 hours later is is all fine! So much for Avast,spybot,AVG, Bit-defender and windows defender

Hi guys,
I just got my new PC and I cant get any sound to come out .. I am using 2 little usb powered speakers... they work on my other PC but cant get any sound on mine ... they have USB for power and then a green wire/input for sound

The headphone jack in front is also not working with them... at the back of PC there is the following setup(inputs):

<pink,green,blue>

[orange,black X2, green, pink,blue]

I have tried all inputs but no luck

Please help
Thanks

PS: My ear-phones also dont work

Have you plugged in the audio output in the front of your PC case?
My motherboard is like that. If the front audio port is not plugged in, there's no sound.

Google motherboard, download latest drivers, make sure front panel jumpers are connected to mobo...

always thought speakers would be an output.... sounds like HD audio, for which you need xp-sp2 or higher
