Soft deadline isn't a bad idea, but a week is too long. Unless it is maintenance, they usually sort their issues out pretty quickly. I'd say two days should be fair.

I also suggest you guys, if you haven't already, join their official Facebook page. It is updated daily and carries important announcements, such as impending site maintenance.

I've actually submitted a couple days late in the past and still got marks, so I think they have that in place anyway. Ssssh, don't tell anyone.

I was about to say that they may be lenient as it is. I am too schit scared to push it though. I've left one or two until the day before (knowing the risks of technical issues), but mostly I aim for 3 to 5 days. I complete my assignments well before, but I like to give them one last comb-over before submitting.
 
Has anyone used the mobile application before?

Would be nice to have a backup.

About 2 months ago I requested via myUnisa for one of my modules to be cancelled but.... THE MODULE IS STILL NOT CANCELLED :mad: It used to be lightning fast before. What's frack wrong with UNISA these days? :mad: I feel so stressful now! I didn't submit the first assignment for this module. The due date was about 2 weeks ago.

Well, I have absolutely ZERO INTERESTS IN STUDYING THE MODULE. THAT'S WHY I want this module to be cancelled as soon as possible.

Common sense dictates that you should anticipate that there is always a last minute rush.

All that'll do is move the traffic from the 15th to the 8th, same thing in the end. Also students will eventually catch on to the fact that they can submit assignments up to 1 week later and go back to submitting on the 15th.

What people don't know is that this is actually part of the assignment marking process. Bandwidth is progressively squeezed as the deadline gets closer to teach the most important lesson in life : Don't leave your sh###t till the last minute. After all, do you wait until you are about to soil your pants, before taking a dump ?
 
Wtf, one of my module that I requested (via myUnisa) to be cancelled about 8 weeks ago is STILL on my myUnisa account :confused:
 
This is the 5th SMS this evening UNISA has sent me on the same notice. Let me see if I can log in now...
