Here are October’s traffic stats:

Month: Oct 2005
Unique Visitors: 105 014
Pages Served: 6 038 433
Hits: 18 073 955
Bandwidth: 105 Gigs

It is really great to see how our community and our site is growing. All companies in the broadband environment are closely following this forum, and it is great to see that your voices are being heard by the providers.

100000 uniques. Nice ... I expect December to be a bumper month as the uninformed suddenly start finding themselves with a dead connection.

Shame they wont be able to connect, but sure as hell would b1tch here in about two weeks time. We should set a clock watch ?

Congrats RPM, Maybe you should think of a small fee or some income off this. With that funds I am sure you (we) could have taken TELKOM to task (court) re the latest pains and fraud
 
lol december is gonna cost a lot.. eish..
 
Will be interesting to see if the new Telkom changes (hardcap+per Gb billing) has a negative effect on the stats for November. My guess is that it will.

Sure, all companies are 'closely following'. Some are not responding, unfortunately.
 
It no surprise to see myadsl.co.za grow.

We in the #myadsl.co.za channel have a form of tradition......when a new person joins the channel we send them to the site to register and join up.

:D

so far we are looking at a 160 odd ppl that we have gotten to join from our channel.

rpm - could you prehaps publish the Browser and OS stats? Also prehaps locations? It would be interesting to see how many people are reading the site from abroad...
 
It is great yes, and even the latest article in the Mail&Guardian makes quite a few references to the MyADSL forums....Rock On!
 
Lol. I had the same thing Luke :D

I'm glad MyADSL is growing... soon we can form our own MyADSL body and take people to court as a mass action ^_^

How do you determine whether a person is unique without them logging on? Is it by IP or do you rely on cookies?

3384 New Members! In 6 and a half months.

To give you guys an idea.

I went back into my storage and pulled the Presentation I wrote on the 15th of April 2005 to ICASA at which time MyADSL had 3,596 members.
Checking the MyADSL Statistics today the 2nd of October 2005 reads as follows,
Threads: 18,964, Posts: 241,261, Members: 6,980

That is an increase of 3384 members since the 15th of April this year.
In a mere 6 and half months the member base has almost doubled by 194%!
About 9 new members everyday.

Quite phenomenal! :eek:

Not only is it costing MyADSL/rpm, but also everyone that visits this site! Since 1Nov, every byte is gold.

After following news on MyADSL for the last 6 months, I have now joined as a member to show support for all your efforts - Great work RPM
 
If I was RPM, I would seriously look at hosting overseas again. I did not notice huge speed issues when it was. It IS fast now, but was plenty fast enough when hosted over-seas.
