MyADSL Movie Thread

I'm busy watching the full series. Got it from Amazon. Only on season three now. So this might top it all off nicely. Season 10? How far do they wanna go? They started in 1993. Some of the ppl on the Myadsl forum were not even born then. lol.

I just watched "The Departed" for the first time on Movie Magic. It was a really good movie I thought, in the calibre of American Gangster and The Godfather. I really enjoyed it.

If you haven't seen it, rent it or check the DSTV Guide ;)

Edit: btw. I watched the new Chronicles of Narnia today and I was utterly disappointed, it was a boring, awful movie :(

Ya, that was a great movie - lived up to the hype and the huge ensemble cast for once.

I thought so too. Have you seen American Gangster? If you haven't, watch it sometime.

Like I said in the edit above, the new Chronicles of Narnia was awful, so bad I had a headache afterwards, just a bunch of noise and no story worth watching.

Yes I have seen it and it is also great!

Chronicles of Narnia not so much :( :sick:
 
Aw really sad to hear the Narnia sucked - I was quite psyched to see it - still will though - I loved the books as a kiddo

I loved the first Narnia movie. As sequels usually go, the second one was really not up to my expectations, I was truly bored when watching it.

Also, on a Christian viewpoint, I could "feel" and "see" the Christian elements in the first movie, but the second one has me wondering, what the heck is this """? ;) :D :p
 
So watched on video recently

The Darwin Awards, -- Topic relates to the awards, and they show a few of them in the movie, Ryder and Fiennes, not bad had a few laughs.

The Darjeeling Limited, -- Odd movie about 3 brothers travelling across India to see there mother who became a nun in some ashram, MUST be seen only after consuming large amounts of narcotic substances :)

Into the Wild, -- Story about a guy who heads of from society to find himself in the wilds of Alaska, only to find his own demise. , good movie, a bit depressing.

Series:
The Unit, season 2, pretty good
3rd Rock from the sun , seasons 1, 2, and 3, good laugh
Frasier, season 9, always good one of the classics
X-Files season 6 , another classic
Dharma and Greg, seasons 1 and 2 , quirky
 
Movies I am looking forward to:

The Dark Night
Hellboy 2
The Incredible Hulk

What else is there coming up?
