Hi folks

I am glad to inform you that MyADSL’s latest podcast is now available. To listen to this podcast, please follow the following link: http://www.mypodcast.co.za/?p=24

This podcast contains a refreshingly honest interview with Tebogo Khaas, president of the SMME Forum. Thanks again to Antowan for all his hard work in creating such a professional podcast.

Regards,

RPM

Listening now - I like DataPro's ad about the dictators :)

Thanks so much guys!

For those keen on how we do it. This particular podcast was done at IBM in Sandton using a JVC GR D53AG MiniDV Handycam on audio only. RPM did the questioning and I handled the cam. The microphone of this cam is brilliant as you can hear in the podcast! Sometimes RPM does interviews for the podcasts and sometimes me, depending on the situation. I take the material home and use Adobe Audition to put all the different elements of the show together.

I "documenterise" the podcast by redubbing the questions in a documentary style. For this I use a Hisonic WHM-308 microphone connected to a Behringer Eurorack UB802 mixer. The MIC stands on a stand with a shudder/shock proof mic clamp/holder.

The mixer has all the inputs and outputs needed and can be expanded for effects and processing, which we will do later this year to up the game a little. Expect this podcast to become a trend setter! We will push the envelope of podcasting in 2006! :)

The kit was chosen for portability. As some of our recent podcasts (not this one) was done with our mobile "studio" and a laptop. Takes a little time to set it up, but will be wonderful to use at conferences etc.

That was a good podcast - the honesty was great. If only more people were as outspoken as Mr. Khaas, then we would probably see change much quicker.

Am looking for one of those...

They mis-advertised the price on it once at Makro. Got it for much less than they ment it to be. ;)

If you are reading this, please feel free to make suggestions for the podcast. if there is anything we can do to make it better then holler! :)

wonderful! Keep them coming, I love these podcasts.
