Have been running my Asus maximus III gene 1156 and I5 760 for almost 2 years now. Still smooth and no problems, but want to sell while I can still get something for it. :cry: Its a nasty industry this computers

Haswell in Intel's new proc coming out next year, so new socket as well, so this means new boards. the specs on the proc look good especially the on with the GT3 chip.

Put it on Carbonite to get it sold.
 
You can get some things now and then just get Haswell when it launches. Should just be a motherboard & CPU upgrade

SSD's will never be cheaper than they are now and a new GFX card is always a good thing. Kytons card is great value for money. You dont need those R6000 cards when gaming at 1080P

And please dont get everything new and then be like noob Kyton and use stock cooling. It's just not right :p

Very funny. Stock coolers are fine. never had any issues wit my sandy. idles 29 deg under load 41 deg.

Would like toget that Zalman, but no $$$ left for it.
 
No man stock coolers are not fine. They are the worst thing when building a rig. Those push pins should never have been invented. Worst design and some of them are faulty out the box and because there is nothing wrong with the chip. They dont replace

But those R5 coolers just dont cut it. You will see how hot Miss Ivy Bridge can get. You have been warned. Give it an OC and it will heat up like Kao's car trying to go down the drag strip :D

Just to find the right cpu cooler as the chassis can only take ont that is 160mm max.

when you have over 2000 knife kills you dont care who takes them, only how many times you will get revenge for them taking them. I tend to C4 you if you take my tags now.

Good stuff but the SSD is old news now. Look for either a Vertex 4 or Corsair Neutron or if you can get one cheap. A plextor m3/5

That cooler is good but the stock fans can sound like a 747 taking off.I would put up and add for your old stuff and ask for offers. Maybe looking at R2300 or there abouts. That stuff is old news now and the new sandy/Ivy CPU's demolish the old 760's etc.

I honestly do not mind the noise. I dont hear anything with my headphones on anyway. And we have lots of dust around these parts add a high ambient temp and you need something to cool down. Even my GTX570 Direct CU ii struggles in summer time. And no I have never overclocked my CPU or GPU.

I would like something close to 3k for the Motherboard + CPU + Cooler + ram if thats possible though? Do appreciate the help. Will stick you for a beer if I am ever in PE.
 
Always here to help. Yeah you should be able to get that for all the parts. Post it as a feeler and see.

The vertex 4 is way batter than the vertex 3. Dont trust those read/write numbers.

What case do you have? can it fit a H100? Best bet would be to get one and then have 4 fans for Push/Pull if you have the space

EDIT: Does that thing still have a PSU on top? If so then you are in for some heavy modding. Try get the specs and then see if it will fit
 
Yes PSU in the top. I got tools and access to a massive engineering shop at work. Will sort out that baby quick quick.

As far as the knife goes. 19:00 Metro server. Bring it :D
 
Lol I was on 920 knife kills last week still. I am getting greedy lol. Hunting noobs on Metro is fun but risky. Makes it feel so much better if you get them tags.
