nope, gonna keep it since the AMD 9 series cards are gonna be launched in Sept, just in time for BF4. Plus i read up on that powercolor. Lots of noobs have retruned them due to noisy fans.

I was about to place an order in the States for the GTX770 (will be shipped over) - should I hold out??

A lot!
They are always expensive on release.
GPU's are funny things, the next one is always about to be released and if you wait for them then you wait forever.
One thing though is that AMD is a hardware partner for BF4 so the game will be better optimized for AMD GPU's

True that. I made the option to always go "middle of the road, every two generations". Currently have the 560ti so the 770 SC is a nice top end middle of the road option.

"Optimised" better - will it really make that much difference? Should I get a AMD 8 series instead? What's equivalent to the 770 SC?

You can only get and amd 8 series if you buy a full OEM pc like Alienware or HP. I was looking at getting rid of my gtx660ti and going for a 7970 oc. Then the rumour of the 9970 coming in sept / oct. So maybe i should just wait.

How much is customs gonna nail you when that card lands?

Naa stick with what you want to get. Its one game and it will be optimized early for release. Nvidia will catch up quickly and optimize their stuff as soon as the game comes out. Its not one of those things where it will always run better on AMD, its just that they get in early to optimize drivers.

770 is a nice card but still just a slightly faster 680. The 780's are the new "mini titans"

If you can get the 770 now for cheap then go for it IzZzy but does that include import duties and shipping? What make?
