It works either way. as a pilot you can wait for the gunner to tv and then finish it off with your rockets. Just make sure you have guided rockets and you'll be fine

man I was raging at that noob. He could fly but was just useless at shooting things. Like he was taking it out for a sight seeing trip.
I spawned as his gunner and the noob had me looking at the ground the entire time and was always turning his back to the enemy chopper
no. 1 rule in a chopper is dont turn your back on another chopper/jet
no. 2 rule is pilot must line up kills for the gunner (Kao does this really well. I must admit)
no. 3 rule is don't abandon the heli if it gets 1 or 2 hits. Thats why they had both choppers last night

I would say if you are being chased by a chopper best action to take is turn around quick and line up for the gunner to take out the pilot. If you get that correct then the enemy gunner is easy pickings or he just bails for you to GTA the Chopper.

must be because i am a good gunner...LOL
So start playing with the TV missiles very effective against most vehicles in BF3. 1 shot disables the tank and as pilot shoot it with rockets while gunner hits it with cannon
