Oh crapsky, I won't be able to participate tomorrow night's practice game.

I forgot it's my mom in laws bday tomorrow.
My missus just reminded me about that.

Ugh!!! 900MB??? Does anyone know if that is the official size??? I would rather they update it more regularly with smaller patches... :) Anyway, will download it tonight, I think I have around 2/3 GB left.

Officially I think its 890MB
 
Officially I think it is a waste. Officially I would prefer them to update once a month with 100MB patches... :)
 
There any patch mirrors? I hate using the ingame updater, when it fails, it fails miserably and have to start from 0% :(
 
I am home now and steam is downloading. :D

Steam tells me the download size is 976.3MB.

KK bad news, all attemps to download the update last night failed, it keeps failing after a few minutes with "data corruption error".

So I won't be able to play at all tonight, with luck hopefully I'll have it before Sunday, if I can figure out the problem.

Stupid EA updater, wish I had bought it from steam :(
 
Downloaded it last night... Made it by the skin of my teeth! LOL... When I checked this morning my cap ended on 14.9GB of a 15GB cap!!! LOL... Imagine hitting your cap with 100MB to go! I would have ***ked myself. :)
 
Right so the plot unfolds, it seems there are a few other with the same issue I've got and so far, the common factor is mweb uncapped and the use of the EA updater.

I got mine.

Hmmm for all those who don't have steam bad company 2 here's and idea. Add it as a steam game via your purchased cd key. This should allow the game to be viewed properly by steam versus a shortcut and hopefully enable a better updater :D
 
Eish guys, When I tried to update my game tonight it said "Game files corrupt, try re-installing". This was because re-installed windows and I kept all my games on my HD. But after reinstall I updated again and it only downloaded one update instead of all of them over again. So I'm good to go for tonight :D

Worf bru, maybe you should try re-install your game?

lol you insane person, :) have you forgotten the other 2gig updates from the past , I'll never get back on bf2bc2 if I reinstall from scratch and use the EA installer again.

However I am keen to try move it into steam and start over, but yeah ether way hopefully I'll be back online before christmas lol.

Ah I really hope this does work! I'm checking on the Steam forums to see if it can be done this way. I'll report back here when I have the info! :D

nope won't work, only works for steam distributions.

I regret not buying it through steam too! will wait for a special hopefully and buy it.
