Eve is a MMO : space combat, trade , industry etc. You can join at anytime as the nice thing about EVE is no matter the level, the person is generally needed. For example: that cap fleet that I was in requires a support fleet to assist it. Also only a support fleet can effectively trap a cap fleet. Support fleets have many scales and different abilities. It takes time to get into the bigger ships as skills are real time but the smaller ones are just as much fun and sometimes more.

Sorry that was bit of a stupid question, here's the thing right, could we setup like a MyBB fleet for example, the real people from MyBB(Riff,kozmik,Archie, etc...) are the Generals and make decision for the fleet or something like that line?

I wanted to get this game but not sure what to espect, the last space game i played was on the PS2 and that was cool already but didnt have multiplayer.
How is the lag?
The combat system? how does it work , is it turn based, actual aim and fire?
Sure dude im very keen, you got mweb so if your lag isnt too bad then please send me that 21 day trail.

But as to EVE:

Ok, this might get a bit long winded. In Eve, you get in increasing order - players, corporations , alliances , coalitions/factions. Bascially a group of players are free to form their own gangs fleets etc and do exactly what you suggest. Or they can even form their own corporation. BUT to get into the big battles you need to be a part of the major coalitions. Unlike other MMO's there is no game coalition that you could join ( well not really in null sec anyway, thats low security space ie: anything goes ) and it's here where massive battles take place. Google these vids:

That will give you a good idea. Buuterfly effect basically shows you how far a individual can go whereas dominion shows you the major battles that take place between alliances and co-alition over territory. I could waffle on all day if you want.

As to connection, ISP don't matter. Server is based in ICELAND and there is only one cluster which is what makes EVE unique. All the players play in a single world not shards. It's hard to describe the combat, no it's not turn based but also almost not realtime either. Similar to Homeworld if you ever played it? Anyway, I'll pop you a 21 Day key in a pm, if you want more lemme know. Apparently they've revamped the whole character creation and training side of it.

And if anyone else wants a trial key, yell.

Yeah kosmick, EVE is cool, I just got tired of the corp politic's and corp Duty. Sitting at a jump gate waiting for pirates isn't fun, on my off days I got to sit with the miners.
to much PT work being a noob.

1. I think i have finally figured out why Riff doesn’t like the choppers, he always gets left at the enemies base to be taken prisoner, which since we are usually playing Russian, “We don’t go back for the week".

LOL! Omg that would be the most hilarious thing ever, I would cry! But then we have to persuade our teamies not to use them though. Just imagine we hoard all the vehicles in the game and then attack then with one HUGE mobilized force! HAHA :D
