Mybb ladies: which straightner does she need?

So...

My crush didn't last long. She's interested in someone else.

So be it. Let's see what December brings. Hopefully I'll learn not to wear my heart on my sleeve....:o :( ;) :D :p

Before I went bald I had long hair that reached to my moobs. I used to use a Cloud 9, best friggin' straightener ever.

wow good thing you didn't buy an expensive gift....

To be honest, I'd get scared if someone spent more than R100 on me and we weren't a couple.

Hope you get a girl with straight hair :p

Sounds like you arent using it with a decent iron oil.
My wife loves hers and uses it daily but she only ever uses it with the kerastase iron oil.

I've tried a bunch of ironing oils (including hannon's very expensive brand) but they all makw my hair sticky.

Not real men

Haha, thank god I'm not a real man then. It would be hell if I had to choose between looking good and filling some arbitrary manliness meter. I've never understood why so many men think there's something wrong with making a bit of effort to look good.

The next time a woman says all the attractive guys are gay, this might be why. ;)

Never use oils + heat on your hair, especially on something like a GHD, which has no temp control.

You're basically frying your hair with that. It makes the hair look oily, limp & lack movement. There are lots of great, lightweight creams and waterbased sprays that are specifically made for straightening irons these days. They offer added heat protection, which I've never heard claimed for any hair oil. GHD makes an excellent spray (buy from a salon). I also bought a LÓreal straightening cream from Clicks that smells amazing & works like a charm. CHI has one too, called iron guard (you can get it & their irons at Dischem).

I have GHD & CHI irons. The GHD works best on my natural hair & the CHI on extensions.

We use the GHD in our salon as clients expect us to do so but we prefer the Cloud Nine and our big boy, a industrial strength straightener my wife sourced overseas.

I'm a bit of a product junkie. What brand & what price range is this industrial one? Did she buy it from Amazon/eBay or the manufacturer?

L'Oréal thermal protect with keratin leaves my wife's hair soft and silky.

Good to also use some Morocco argan oil every week or 2 for amazing results

What is up with you people and this jizz bs

Because thats what ends up in her hair when her boyfriend gives her a GHD :)

Its like my (innocent) cousin got a GHD two weeks back from her boyfriend for her birthday. Every male guy that saw her facebook post proudly boasting the lovely gift knows what his intentions were and I'm sure he got them.
