Hi curious as to why I cant seem to upload small photo +-200k, says i've exceed my quota??!

Did manage to upload 2 small 60k photos to a post a day or 2 ago..

Have you tried reducing the file size?

Hi

1. I dont want to,200K is hardly big - its a photo, ive already reduced its size from 12Mp
2. the max allowable size is apparently > 1Mb for images

According to the message you posted the file you tried to upload was 63.8KB above your allowed size so I would suggest reducing it by at least 63.8KB.

It's also recommended that you keep the file under 800px width.

Does sound like an issue though.
People post large images all the time - I've never once seen a image-cap message.

There's obviously a cap perhaps, but whatever it is its ridiculously small.
I'd used less than 200k before the latest upload of another 200k....

There are different methods of posting images and possibly different allowances depending on how long you've been a member.

Fact is people tend to complain about large images and many don't appreciate having to waste their data on them, so they regularly get removed. There's nothing to stop someone from uploading them offsite and embedding a smaller version on MyBB. A few of these off site locations will even generate the necessary code.
