Getting it again now

Error 1001 Ray ID: 25f7a843da6d15fe • 2016-01-04 14:33:13 UTC
DNS resolution error
What happened?
You've requested a page on a website (mybroadband.co.za) that is on the CloudFlare network. CloudFlare is currently unable to resolve your requested domain (mybroadband.co.za). There are two potential causes of this:

Thanks for the heads-up, guys.

The DNS resolution error started at around the same time CloudFlare implemented a fix for another issue (presumably the 502 Gateway Timeouts some were getting). It only seemed to affect some ISPs and was intermittent on top of that.

We've worked around it for now.

CloudFlare seems to have sorted out the problem.

Please let us know if you're still having issues.

Im having issues with the app,

play store updated my MYBB android app to version 5.0.28

now just crashes on startup, just says "unfortunatly mybroadband has stopped"

anyway to rollback or is this a know issue?

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like the problem started shortly after 05:00, and we resolved it shortly after 06:00.

The cause is still unknown – looks like an issue with Apache which meant that no threads could be loaded. The forum (home page) worked fine, which is why our automated alerts did not come through.

I am unable to load specific ads at the top (for the competition) and I never get the one with the unique code for the competition. I've even tried a different ISP and different browser. Any advice? Maybe a DNS issue?

Not so much a problem. More a request.

Is there any way we can get .gifv images to be embedded on the site like normal .gif and .jpg? Does this functionality/code exist?

I'd say about 90% of current gifs are all in .gifv format which is a lot smaller and better quality than regular .gif.

Would hate to see the GIF Thread die a slow death. People just don't like clicking links.

The code generator thing has not been in use for competitions for a while now, AFAIK.

+1 GIFs take forever and a bit to load on a single 15 post page.

Unfortunately…

Hi there

This week we are giving away the following prizes:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 lite
  • Toshiba 2TB portable drive
  • Mystery gadget

We are promoting the advertising campaigns of Vodacom, Dial Direct, BuyFast, HP, Absa, Apple Doctor, and Norton.

TO ENTER

  • Click on the banners shown on the top of this forum to see what the companies offer
  • Post something from the company website (hence where the banner takes you) which you find interesting or of value
  • DO NOT post any URLs
  • You may enter 7 times – once for each of the 7 banners
  • To encourage people not to cheat: When you click on the banners on the top of this forum, one of them will take you to a page where you can generate a unique code based on your username. Include this code in your entry.

Ahhh. I don't enter all the competitions.
I don't see the point of the code generator really, when you can check the number of posts per person.

Because some people just copy and paste the answers from previous posters instead of clicking on the banners themselves.

I remember catching such a fool way back. He used the reply with quote option and then proceeded to copy or erase certain parts. But he obviously missed some parts because the
tag was still in one part of his post.
