Very tempted - quite excruciating in fact ... are you taking orders first, or is a batch already on the way? If so, what is the ETA?

I am already sorta committed to spending around R1200-1400 (novo Venus) to my niece who has been after my Samsung Tab 7 plus. Which is pretty decent, only missing ICS/Jellybean and it could do with a higher res screen for reading PDF files. So the other option is to pass the TAB on and spend R2800 on the Novo Spark instead (losing bluetooth and 3G). Except that I want to learn to develop for Android and may need a mainstream tablet. Which puts the Nexus 10 into the frame. Samsung is also expected to introduce some new tablets so I a in bit of a turmoil deciding what to do.

Pity you sold on the the demo copy, I would have loved to try it out first.

Mainstream and Nexus 10 do not belong in the same post. Mainstream would be one of the Samsung Tablets or the Nexus 7 / Kindle Fire.

We are taking orders first - nothing on the way as yet

So we pay in full up front with no ETA? Are you waiting for a threshold of orders before placing the order? Do you have money in a dollar account or are you going to end up absorbing the rand dollar exchange rate? I am on the brink of ordering the novo spark, but if it means I might wait too long I might just go direct to them.

For any pre-orders received, we wait until the end of that week and pool them all together, and place our order for the stock. Usually it is then dispatched within 2-5 days, in our hands in another 3-5 days (pending clearance delays), and in yours within another 2 days. Therefore we usually give a 2 week ETA just to be safe, but sometimes it really is much quicker (eg. our last shipment was ordered on 13 March and was delivered to us on the 18th). You can expect delivery within 7-14 days.

Regarding payment, it is required in full and we do absorb the going rate of exchange when placing our orders.

Also note we will have stock on hand soon but as Nimz mentioned we do not have any orders on the way, and are still gauging customer interest.
