MyGaming: Bioshock 2 PS3 will require 5GB install space

Console shouldn't have any installing unless it's DLC. Might as well have the game on a bunch of DVD5's and install them each, the large capacity of BR is wasted. One of the appeals of console is 'put in disc and play, no install'. Install should be optional like X360, to speed up game loads and eliminate disc spin noise.

So installing games on your console is cool now? If it doesn't bother you? That's awesome. It's good to know you guys won't be bashing the Xbox peons for the very same reason anymore.

The PC requires installs. Go back to the time when games came out that don't even fill a CD. Its not due to the lack of space on the optical medium.
