Hello everyone:

I need an expert to setup a MyPBX-SOHO V4 VOIP PABX.

Hardware Version:
V4.20 0000-0000

Firmware Version:
70.19.0.32

Required:
5 X extensions setup (with best voice quality, codec for internal dailing)
1 X VOIP trunk setup (just a single VOX SIP account)
Assistance with incoming IVR message (i.e dail 1 for this and 2 for that)

I just need a general best practice setup. I licensed Digium G729 codec for us on the system.

Please inbox me if you can assist with a quote?

Thanks guys

Hello everyone:

You did not need to purchase a G729 license as the provider does that for you. Internally you do not use G729

Ask the agents scoop.co.za for the name of an installer

@yogidabear - providers generally do not supply you with the codec, unless the provider is an integrator and it is included in the quote. In most cases if IP phones are available you can simply do g729 pass through eliminating the need for trans coding, so on the trunk settings you will specify g729 only and on the phone g711 first and g729 second, so internal calls will be via g711 and external calls via g729.

@InfinityMVS not sure if you agreeing with me or not :)

So for a call being both directions that is a single channel and needs 1 license. Like you said the OP connects to VOX on G729 and VOX has the license. For internal he uses a codec not being G729 and therefore does not need a license on his PBX.

IVR will not work if PBX does not support G729

Your sip trunk uses g729 if you do not have a license for that it will not work. Asterisk can not transcode the incoming call.
