For all those who are driving into the N1 (coming into Cape Town "City") beware that they 'trappers' are using a new tactic now, they park the car (van or whatever) so it's hidden and the 'camera' is standing on it's own on the side of the road so it's not really visible (unless you know it's there) because it's black and sorta blends in.

Going out of Cape Town on the N1, they used to park on the left, but now they are also parking on the right on the other side of the barriers (there is a 'opening up ahead, they go in via that and reverse down).

I've also been warned that they park in such a way (coming into Cape Town "City") that the sun (glare) nails you in the eyes so you can't really see the vehicle/camera till it's too late.

Somebody throw a whole lot of nails on the ground where these *******s park. (6 inch and 4 inch work well)

I've seen it, it's there almost every day at different times.
It is hard to see and want to make sure that the camera is not in the van!

In Durban the pigs are even more sneaky.

They sit under the bridge which goes over Umgeni Road (yellow block in picture). They are completely hidden unless you are coming the other way. The problem is those coming the other way can't even warn you with flashing lights as the bridge blocks their view of you. So the van is completely hidden.

They then set the camera up behind the next bridge support (yellow arrow in picture), again completely hidden unless you can see through concrete. This camera is then aimed in such a way so as to nail you from behind (and don't they just!) as you take the bend. You are oblivious to the fact that you have just been done.

Now this is a dual carriageway, with a speed limit of 60.

These cocks, sorry cops, then sit there with their feet up on the dash all day parking off in the shade of the bridge serving absolutely no purpose in terms of traffic control. You are not visible so you are not creating awareness. They are there for purely money making reasons.

Makes you think why they make the limit 60k on a dual carriageway??? Not safety reasons I am sure

I never understand.

Another place. Coming into Durban you go under the Toll bridge. It is a four lane highway. The speed limit drops to 80. Why? There are about 20m high walls on either side of the road so there is no argument of pedestrians etc. Also they should not be on that road anyway. I can't see that it is a high accident area as it is perfectly straight all the way down to Warwick Junction.

That's why they develop such fat asses, just chilling on the road eating fast food.

They have no interest in moving violations, such as passing over white lines, changing lanes in intersection, even running red lights, because that is too much work.
