N54L power supply

Anyone know where I can find a replacement power supply for HP Microserver N54L?

This thing has finally given up the ghost and I need to decide whether to try repair or replace it.

Try and fix the power supply maybe it's a capacitor, otherwise I see there's a UK one on Amazon.

Those prices on Amazon are a bit over the top. At that price I think it's probably better just to do away with the microserver and pick up a second hand box somewhere.

Probably not worth fixing to be honest. Mine is still going after all these years, but I think I paid like R1300 new for the bugger.

Yeah, it was a good buy. This thing has been on 24/7 for at least a decade. Can't expect it to chug on forever.
 
What would you replace it with?

I sold mine a couple years back on worries about the power supply being hard to replace. It did serve me well though.

Most of the stuff has moved to the cloud, so only need the file server for transferring large (video etc) files and then for adguard. So won't be a like for like replacement

Get a 4/5/8 Bay DAS like a Probox and slap it on a Pi or Thin client PC with Unraid or plain Samba or Windows and go to town. Modular and replaceable
 
Is it not a standard sff power supply? Though those cost as much as this server cost new

I bought a PSU from Takealot on 2021 which worked, and continues to work perfectly on my N54L. They no longer have stock, but it was sourced from Centurion Micro Electronics, and they do seem to have stock.
