N80 resetting

I have no idea. On my job card it says R135 for software upgrades but I don't know if that applies to phones under warranty. You can give them a call on 082 230 4070 or email [email protected].

When I called Nokia customer they told me that if your phone is still under warrenty then you don't pay for a firmware update, If you don't know that they charge you anyway.

Well, my phone is only a month old so they said they'd upgrade the software as its going to be checked out for the problem I'm having anyway so I suppose its free if its under warranty still. I would still check with them before hand as they have minimum standard labour charges.

Looks like I won Ploempie :D Autopage just called saying that it's ready for collection. Hope the darn thing works properly this time!

Let's see how long before you get yours back, then we'll know whether it's better to take it directly to the manufacturer or to let the provider do it on your behalf.

i handed my n80 in on monday....it kept resetting....it got to the stage i couldn't even start up the phone....it would boot up and then as i touched any key on the keypad it would turn off.

about a month ago i updated the firmware over the net.....never had one single problem with it, until this weekend when it went haywire.

so i've got the loaner phone until then...still under warranty

My phone only reset during phone calls. Otherwise it was perfect.

I'm probably going to get the phone back with other problems. Such is life

P.S. From exactmobile's site: Dear Valued Customer, your phone is being inspected by our quality control department.

Maybe you should have posted yours to Nokia JHB, things get done in good time up here :D I think in CT the people are too chilled and relaxed and this gives the companies motive for providing bad service. In JHB the poor lady behind the desk is probably so scared of being yelled at that she'll make sure everything gets done on time.

Yip. Although I did think about yelling a little at the lady behind the counter but opted for bursting into laughter and walking out. :D Less stressful.

Vodacom is still kaak expensive with the N80. N73 is way cheaper. :(

MTN is giving the N80 for free on Procall120. ;)
