I'm much happier with this phone than with the N95-1. No clunky slider, bar form factor which I greatly prefer, a lot faster and more memory so I never get memory full errors while browsing - which I did with the N95 even when I upgraded to v20. Screen is smaller but the same res, so it looks very crisp and clear.

Best of all - it came unbranded, when I plugged it in NSU picked up that there is new firmware for it, upgraded - didn't even lose all my data like the N95 used to after upgrade, so no annoying backups and restores.

Cherry on top - the proper xenon flash which actually means that the camera is useful even indoors and when the light is not 100%.

It also has a 2 yr nav licence preinstalled, albeit for the sucky Nokia Maps so I'll be putting Garmin on tonight.

Only con is the silly tiny keypad - they tried to copy SE on this one, since there is clearly space for a normal one.

Where did u find the N82 in SA???

Most of the shops i called sayd there is no stock *CT*

Come on now, where you getting this info from?

The N82 is a good phone, Im not a symbian fan, but if you are, the rest phones quite good.

Got it from Vodacom, they delivered it to me so I don't know which shop it comes from.

What do you pay on a contract for the N82 from MTN & Vodacom, please. Thanx

I'm still going for N95 8 gig the N82 looks like a toy and yes the buttons suck. Only plus i see with the N82 is xenon flash

i've still got my n95, and it's not going anywhere. The one thing that i don't like is the slider, but it's still a great phone. The xenon gives a totally new dimensions to the camera though, as you can use it anywhere, unlike with the puny led flash.

Having both is cool, best of both worlds ;) :p

The N82 looks like a tin pressed flat, I don't like shiny phones either. A black one would look cool.

Its shiny black. I agree with the metal, it could have looked sleeker.

I got my N82 yesterday, and i am very impressed with it.. A proper built in GPS etc... My only small issue is the spacing of the keys, but i suppose i will get used to it like any new phone...

not that long.. maybe about a min or so... tested it driving from home to work this morning and it is pretty accurate... You get 3 days free voice prompts as well, thereafter you have to pay for that service..

It doesnt really matter, by the time I enter the location im going to, my gps position is already found.

Is instant gps finding a real issue?
