Has vodacom recieved the N91 for testing, and do u know when it might be out for sale? Hopefully before May.
vodacom3g said:It is in test at the moment. Will let you know as soon as more info is available. If all goes well and it goes through the channel, May is not impossible but that's mere speculation from my side.

Anssi Vanjoki, Executive Vice President & General Manager of Nokia multimedia who spoke at the Midem music expo is certain that music listening with mobile phones will grow rapidly during next few years.
- Music (devices) is one of the most important growth area for us. Last year Nokia sold around 50 million mobile phones with music playback capability. Vanjoki said
Nokia says that it considers a mobile phone to be a music device when it has a built-in mp3 player. Nokia has more than a 10 of mp3 ready phones to offer.
Nokia's first particulary music oriented mobile phone N91 was on everybody's lips. It is expected to change peoples (who can afford it Wink )way to enjoy music and that way to change the whole music industry.
N91 has a dedicated buttons for music listening and it has a 4 GB harddrive for music storage.
- N91 will be in stores within couple of weeks. We are making final adjustments to the firmware of the phone, Vanjoki said.
Vanjoki who is in charge of Nokia's music phone strategy said that the aim is to make phones with an open platform (probably symbian) so anyone can make software for them. That's the way Nokia is going to offer customers the possibility to enjoy music by their own terms.
- Nokia's idea is to offer all the music for all the customers where ever she/he might be. It is enough just to be within network coverage(why ???)
Vanjoki talked about multimedia mobile phones as computers, as they can be used for same tasks as traditional computers.
- Nowdays we are the largest manufacturer of camera's and mp3 players, next year we'll be the largest manufacturer of computers, Vanjoki assured.
