N95 Thread

The Nokia Software Updater I downloaded today does not give me the option to change the model of the phone connected to the PC, and maybe for the better ....

\Now if only I can fit my 7710's battery (1500mAh) i.s.o. the 950mAh N95 battery, but alas at about 3/2 the height of the N95's ....

Have to admit, to tell the NSU I've got another phone than what I have to update the firmware gives me a twitch, so I'm with you Piesang ...

It is still w-a-a-a-y to shiney to void the warranty
 
Just checked again , still no updates for SA. Hope the updates for the camera are big improvements, the cam seems to take too long to process the data, hope they speed up the process somehow.

Mine froze lol!! WTH!!!
 
My N95 is running smoothly. It had memory issues in the beginning but I got used to the idea of not just closing apps but to Exit them.

I get 2 full days battery life.

Mmmm ok its a bit bulky for me. It froze upto 7 times this weekend. LCD screen for this type of phone is not a good thing, easy to break. GPS kept telling me go outside lol!!

That just normal problems.

The problems I hated the most personally. Mxit sucks on this phone, the "C" buttons way to close to the red button, kept logging myself off everytime I needed to edit a message.
On Mxit again, the phone feels like its goin to fall apart everytime I get a message!! Bad build quality again. The gap between the screens it kinda big and in the dark alot of light comes through there!
Lol oh and that media player!! Hehehe I put it on bass boost lol what crap bass boost that walkman player sucks. The cameras good, but it still takes very cartoony pictures. I was next to a Murcielago and a new Ferrari this weekend and the camera messes up!! Kinda my fault I pressed the wrong button but damn it took long to actually take the pic and hehehe i lost the pic!!!! :( HSDPA was crap!!! I hardly had any connection while My K800 was around 50-60KBS faster!!

The only thing I like was the TV out put was cool, but thats about it. Everyone wants to touch it and play with it lol... Errr this phone will sell in the millions but alot will come back!!

:rolleyes: It's funny how some people can't get stuff to work properly then they blame it on the device. "froze 7 times":confused:

i got everything to work, I know how to work them hehe. Froze, reset white screens etc etc. But its a good phone typical Nokio, the back really looks nice, exept they could have left the Nokia on the back cover out.

I agree. The NOKIA printed on the back looks cheap. I can't believe that you get white screens and that it froze. I really don't have any such problems with my N95.

Maybe you should try the new firmware. I'm not sure if it is available yet for South Africa. If you change the phonecode you will be able to use Euro 1 version of the firmware.

I'm waiting for the proper South African version of the firmware before I will update.

im a music guy ... the ear phones with the phone suck .. get a pair of Sennheiser's and then tell me the sound is crap

The 5meg pixel camera is better than the k800i ... and i had a k800i ... (actually two cause i liked it so much)

What did you pay for the Sennheiser earphones and where did you buy them?

I agree, the earphones that comes with the N95 is crap. The N80's earphones are better than my iPod Video and SE W810i earphones.

Place in Menlyn called "NuWorld" ... R350 for the in ear canal ones ... but i recommend getting the normal ones for R200 ... they better ... they have a good few designs and colours and senheisser is considered one of the best when it comes to ear phones ...

When you get the ear phones ... Just make sure to reset all equaliser settings and then tune ...

You can try Tafelberg for Senheisser's - when I was looking around one could order them from there. I ended up getting mine at a local shop in strand of all places! But they are awesome earphones (inner-ear type) - though it does take some getting used to living in one's head (all sounds like chewing etc sound kinda odd) - but on the bright side, you can't hear stuff around you much and colleagues tend to stop bothering you :p

anyone converted an avi to mp4 to play on the phone ... for some reason the avi files are being inverted and mirrored ... so basically they upside down when playing them on the phone ...
