N95 Thread

Relatively new to Nokia so have no idea where or how I could obtain a product code. On the box? or s it like the IMEI that I can directly off the phone?

Open the back of the phone, take out the battery - it is printed on a sticker there - usually 05xxxxx

Taken from an older post in this thread somewhere

Infra red sensitive camera, some good VCAM's have it.Thats good, better than the white LED on some cameras. I want mine NOW!

I have a question for all you n95 users: when you use the s60 browser in landscape mode, what happens when you input text into a search field (like the google search field) does the browser go back into portrait mode? Looks like you lot will be getting updated firmware soon (v.12.x) it's got assisted gps for faster gps locks. Anyone have more info?
 
I still cant get an update to the latest firmware for my MTN N95, still says older firmware is the latest... how annoying :(
 
@ Piesang: I read it at the symbian related sites. I'd post direct linkage, but I'm using Opera atm. Try searching at AAS and Symbian freak.

Thanks. Will have a look this evening. I'm positive Vodacom unbranded for the firmware upgrade the same way as described further on these forums. i've lost all VLive applications and 3G connectivity. Not too bad though as I use the wi-fi at home for most of my downloading. For interests sak - divx have a mobile version player that works perfectly on N95. I've got a few episodes of the Simpsons on y phone now for idle lunch breaks. Full screen awesome quality. http://mobile.divx.com
 
mmmm can anyone help me? all my games use to work well with my number buttons until i did a full reset on my phone, now they don't ,but the buttons work when you dial and write a msg etc... but not when playing games whats wrong?

Hi Guys

I have tried simcards of all the networks incl Usims in my N95 and then i have run the Settings wizard but it tells me "No Operator Data Available" and then closes..
on the N70 and N73, i can run it without any problem and change the country name etc and choose email settings for Gmail etc....

Here it doesnt let me go any further than the "No Operator Data Available" as if its searching for this data from the simcard....

anyone else tried the wizard? what results?

Also, how do i permanently switch off the start up tone?

I get the same message. "No Operator Data Available, Contact your service provider".

It's the first time I tried to use this so I didn't know about this. Well, I don't use it anyway because I use *123*12# for all my settings.
 
sorry im a newbie what was the question. i posted a question if anyone knew if blackberry connect is available for the n95

Mmmmm

I just had my brothers girlfriends' N95 here. Shes got the Plum version with the v11 firmware pre-installed.

I have the Sand version with the v10 firmware pre-installed.

I can't really see big differences between the two. The only thing that I picked up is that v11 firmware is much faster than the v10 firmware. And if I say faster I really mean faster.

Just because of that I'm going to upgrade my firmware.
