Heh, some ******* trying to punt propaganda on the Syrian conflict. It seems it just automatically redirects you straight after the page has loaded. Odd that Chrome doesn't have any way of blocking automatic redirects or that there are no extensions to prevent it.
 
My understanding is that the hacks against VBulletin were due to admins leaving the install directories behind (and they would have received warning messages when logging into admincp) - can someone confirm?

This is partly correct - no warnings about it in AdminCP. It was seen as good practice, but was not considered necessary up to now.

Strange - in our installations (4.1+) we did have the warnings - but that dates back to quite some time ago already and we make sure that they are removed during upgrades. You will probably find that many more installations will get compromised in future.
