Hey guys,

For those of you that didn't know, NAG uploaded all the issues of their magazines over here:

Retro-nostalgia paperware, re-re-revised for the neon future with these special edition digi-constructed replicas of the original NAG magazines from 2003 to 2015! Not before 2003, though, because we don’t have PDF files of those, sorry. We’ve now uploaded the issues from April 1998 to March...

There were a few that was missing a couple of days ago, but it seems like they added everything now.

Enjoy the retro nostalgia, I just love revisiting these old relics of days gone past. Love the old adverts for games, motherboards, graphics cards etc.

I had two letters published back in the day and also won two games via competitions through them as well. :D

I bought it as a teenager, but didn't enter any comps or submissions.
Is it still for sale though?
 
Awesome stuff! I bought and never missed an issue from April 2003 onwards. Still have all my mags.

Didn't they also include all the old mags on a disk somewhere or am I imagining things? Can't remember.

I do miss the magazine and free dvd tho...
 
The later issues were pretty bad though.
Think it was late 2014 / early 2015 while at an airport I bought one to pass the time.
The reviews and articles. sheeesh. Talk about stroking your own ego.
The reviewers thought way too much about themselves and their opinions. Stiff upper lip syndrome.

Was not pleasant to read such condescending drivel.
 
Sweet, thanks OP! Some nice nostalgia vibes. Now I just need the PC Format (SA) archives for the articles and cover girls.
 
I won a year's subscription to NAG in some competition some time during the 2000's. I only received the first three months' though :ROFL:
 
They started in my little Dorpie. I bought all of the magazines for many years. Got rid of tons of them in one go. Dunno why I kept them... but was sad to give them away :unsure:
 
I was more of a PC Format (Mars!) guy than a gamer, so only got NAG a few times for the E3 news (or supplement). That was our internet back then.

True we didn't have fancy internet back in the day so couldn't wait for the E3 issue. Also the birthday issues were usually pretty nice. And free full games like GTA

Mlodzinski! That's when it was at its prime. I still have all the issues from the first to around 140, although many were damaged by a leaking roof :( Before that, all were in pristine condition without so much as a crease in the pages.

I still have their last issue sealed in plastic, same for NAG (two sealed copies).
 
Gone are those days where you recieved a disc packed with demos, drivers, wallpapers, videos etc.
 
Still have the first NAG magazine they sold.Bought it in 1997 or 1998 but cant remmember.

Yeah, I remember now. Tarryn van der byl and Miktar the dragon were the worst of all.
 
I used to have a sub with them from 2005 to about 2007. Used to get a T-shirt or something, my wife got rid of 90% of them.

Yeah 20+MBS is a choking hazard :) and in 1998 the price was R12 and when it finished 5 years ago it was 50?

Just over R40 in 2015. And they were thin. NAG was at its best in the mid naughties i think when the mags were thick and meaty with matte-like covers and the dvds full of goodies. There was a time later on when the mags were so thin that they didn't even have the famous NAG spine. Those fell apart pretty easily because the pages were kept together with staples
