I've had it with these pricks :( Who's in favour of naming and shaming them? We can use this thread to post your stories and/or pictures of bad drivers, and who knows, you may have helped someone avoid an accident by avoiding them!

I'll get it started.

To KJB569GP in a silver 320i: you drive like a farking knob. Next time, wait until there is space in the next lane before changing over. Don't just sommer move into my bonnet (without even indicating!) and force me to swerve to the right to avoid you. If you'd indicated and been patient then I probably would have given you space anyway. Watch out for this pratt on the M1 South in afternoon traffic.

And no I didn't take the pic before anyone gets their panties in a knot :P

Cant you get sued for "naam skending" for this? :D
The mods are welcome to delete the thread if it causes any trouble :) Besides, people who drive properly have nothing to worry about. And it might just encourage the bad ones to screw their heads on properly.

But for now I'd rather we all know where the rot is so we can avoid it if we ever see it.

Problem is there is always two sides of a story and somebody might get slated innocently.

Isn't there a website in SA that does this already? Road Hogs or Pigdrivers or something like that?

You can report bad driving at: http://www.arrivealive.co.za/report.aspx or on 0861 400 800

More info: http://www.southafrica.info/services/arrivealive.htm

Reporting bad driving
South Africans can also register via the website as "voluntary traffic observers", and make online submissions on bad driving. These registrations and reports are delivered directly to the Department of Transport's national traffic call centre.

In October, according to the latest ArriveAlive.co.za newsletter, there were 49 online registrations as voluntary traffic observers and 96 online reports of bad driving.

"When the same people appear regularly [in reports on bad driving], the documentation can be provided to the prosecuting authority for analysis and investigation for possible legal action," Jonck told ITWeb.

Use of the reported information:

The information collected by the Centre is, amongst others, utilised for:

* advising the registered owner of the vehicle by letter of the nature and location of the alleged offence together with a road safety message;
* identification of regular offenders (after they have been reported a number of times) and request senior Provincial and Local Authority traffic officers to meet with such persons and explain the unacceptability of their regular contraventions and the dangers involved. The information collected on regular offenders will also be correlated with traffic offence notices issued to them by the traffic authorites;
* prepare and distribute reports to the SAPS and the relevant Traffic Authority on the routes and/or locations where stolen vehicles and vehicles with false registration plates were observed; where regular traffic offences occur; the nature of such offences, etc so that appropriate law-enforcement can be planned and undertaken at such places, as well as cases of fraud and corruption were observed, etc;
* identification of the most frequently reported traffic offences and comparing these with the reported contributory factors to traffic accidents at specific locations, etc;
* identification of courteous and helpful road users and traffic officers.

I report Bad Driving all the time - it is a quick dial on my cell. Twice a day at least I confess.

They do follow it up and if a repeat offender is involved in a vehicular manslaughter incident, this can come in to play and make a difference in prosecuting. It is our duty to name and shame - but using the correct forum, and neither this nor roadhogs is that forum - the arrivealive site and the 086 number are. Use 'em.

They do in fact phone the offender if they have a cell number on record.

Rather stupid I think, I rather use my time to get away from the bad drivers than to try and take pics or remember who they are....

just as bad as the ****er taking pics while driving ;)

This is the very thing that the Rager crowd are hoping to address ...R2 per sms to 34792 at a time :cool:. They suggest:
To RAGE, sms the following to 34792:
rage+licence plate+offence

For example:
rage ABC123GP jumped a red light
Oh, and you can (guiltily..??) check if your 'plate has been reported there too.

I bet you're the guy who races 20 meters in a Polo GTI only to stop 10cm behind the car in front of you :/ So what you're saying is that you'll swerve into the truck on the left, to avoid the guy who swerved into you?

Best thing to do would be to report them. Smooth Crim, report that guy
Absolutely. But there's no harm in letting others know :)
just as bad as the ****er taking pics while driving ;)
Lol read the last line in the OP. I'm sure JK8 will be glad to help untangle your panty :P

To be honest alot of driver move out of my way without me having to use my brights... maybe coz my lil car has a face that say F off out of my way!!:D
But anyhow, yes if need be I do move to left to overtake and try to run the lane hogger into the barrier, and after ive past them safely I dont care much about them...

The problem with this kinda thing is that people use it sometimes just for the hell of it cause they didnt like something.
Also, I have probably 4 or 5 instances every single day, lookign at the pic by the OP where there IS a big space for me to filter into as I merge with traffic on the opposite side from an onramp and there is literally 200-500 meters max to get to the opposite lane, I put on my indicator where the guy in the OP's position FLOORS the accelerator cause he doesnt want me to take that spot. I'm sorry, then YOU are the **** driver.
