Again, war vs genocide. The Anglo - Zulu war wasn't genocide. Outside the killing fields, civilians were largely unharmed.

The Khoi and San did not settle in one place. They depended on hunting so, would move around a lot. They formed no battle regiments thus, were seen as thieves. This was also the case when European settlers arrived in the Cape. The Khoi would steal their livestock.

The Khoi have since intermarried with Xhosas or were classified as "coloured".

vs Hereros keeping slaves. Was keeping slaves alright or not? So why do some have to pay reparations for slavery and others not, or are you of the view of no reparations for slavery?

The Nuremberg Trials explored and deliberated on the concept you describe here, called ex post facto.

Many of the crimes that the Nazis were indicted with, were technically not crimes, as such laws did not exist.

The argument was largely rejected by the judges, largely due to the severity of the crimes.
